Recipe import workflow

Save recipes without retyping them.

Family Plates gives you a structured draft so you can make quick edits and keep the final recipe clean.

  1. Copy the recipe link

Find the recipe you want to save and copy its web address.

  2. Start an import

In Family Plates, open recipes and choose the option to import a recipe.

  3. Paste the link

Add the recipe URL and let Family Plates create a draft from the page.

  4. Review the draft

Check the title, image, ingredients, timing, servings, and cooking steps.

  5. Save and plan

Save the finished recipe to your library, then add it to a meal plan when you need it.

Note: Imported recipes should be reviewed before saving. Website formatting can vary, so ingredients, amounts, timing, and instructions may need small edits.
